In the novel, Hoot by Carl Hiaasen, the character Dana Matherson was aggressive and domineering, which made the main character Roy feel scary and uncomfortable in the bus.
Dana Matherson grabbed Roy’s head from behind and pressed his thumbs into Roy’s temple, as if he were squeezing a soccer ball. Every morning, Dana Matherson made Roy hurt and scary as if he has a power. It was going to kill Roy when Dana chocked Roy. On the other hand, Roy coped very well by himself. “Had enough yet?” Dana’s breath smelled like stale cigarettes. Smoking and beating up smaller kids were his two main hobbies. He was such a bad student in the school bus. He thinks that he is the best in the bus. He never thinks that other guys got a bad mood because him. He has a confident in every ways.
So, because of Dana, Roy felt being bullied and uncomfortable. He couldn’t stay in the bus comfortably. Dana is aggressive and domineering to Roy in the bus. Dana needs to change his attitude in the bus and he has to be nice to Roy. Also, He should think all people are fair and they have their right.
